Day One: Mon 14th June

Follow us on Social Media

Follow us @ReadingRefugees on social media, and share a post telling the world that ‘Refugees Are Welcome Here’. Make sure to use #RefugeeWeek

Here are links to our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Linkedin pages.

Day Two: Tue 15th June

Demand ‘Safe Routes Now!’

We’re part of the national campaign demanding the Government introduce safe and legal routes to claim asylum in the UK. Claiming asylum is a human right, but without providing safe, legal routes to apply, the Government forces hundreds of children and adults who have escaped war and persecution to risk their lives crossing the English Channel.

Join us in demanding Safe Routes Now, by signing the petition and sharing it on social media.

Sign the petition here: https://www.safepassage.org.uk/new-routes-now

Day Three: Wed 16th June

Sign up to our Supporter Newsletter

Every month we send out our Supporter Newsletter, telling you about our work and all the different ways that you can help refugees and asylums seekers in Berkshire.

Click here to sign up to our Supporter Newsletter, so you’re always involved: https://eepurl.com/RKqZ5

Day Four: Thu 17th June

Book a Ticket to our Online Film Screening

Join us for our online screening of the critically acclaimed documentary Sky And Ground, telling the story of a Syrian family’s 3,000 mile journey to find sanctuary.

The film will be followed by a Q&A Panel with special guests including Lord Alf Dubs, discussing the topics raised in the film.

Find our more and book your tickets here: https://rrsg.org.uk/sky-and-ground

Day Five: Fri 18th June

Sign up to give a Monthly Donation

Each year we help hundreds of refugees and asylum seekers who have escaped war, violence and persecution. Many have been victims of human trafficking, torture and modern slavery.

We provide free legal advice, practical help, mental health support, English classes and social activities.

By donating £5 each month you can ensure that every refugee and asylum seeker in Berkshire can get the help they need to rebuild their lives.

Sign up to make a monthly donation here: www.rrsg.org.uk/donate

Day Six: Sat 19th June

Sign Up and Walk For Refugees on 12th July

The Reading Legal Walk is a 10km walk raising money for our free legal advice service. Each year we provide over 600 hours of free legal advice that refugees and asylum seekers cannot access elsewhere.

Sign up and walk with us on 12th July to help fund this vital service.
