Hello there! There are three items of news in today’s blog – one about a past event, two about events happening next Monday and Friday.
Firstly, we are extremely happy and grateful to announce that Team RRSG (Nick Harbourne, Flora Roshi, Christina Barba and Peter Driver) raised over £800 for taking part in the London Legal Support Trust’s annual fundraiser, the Reading Legal Walk. They had a beautiful afternoon for it, as you can see from the picture! Thank you so much to the walkers for giving their time, as well as to everybody who sponsored them so generously. RRSG relies on people like you!
Onto next week’s events:
Monday 17th October: Reading City of Sanctuary - One Year On, 7:30pm, RISC conference room
Friday 21st October: RRSG Annual Governance Meeting, 7:00pm, RISC conference room
Now, these two events have a lot in common. They are both celebrations of what has been achieved over the past year by RRSG/Reading City of Sanctuary respectively, and an opportunity to find out what both organisations have been up to. Both will involve interesting talks, tasty food and live music (from Limpopo Groove, no less). Both will transform the format of a Traditional Meeting into Basically An Excuse For a Party, and both are free to attend, so if you possibly can, come along!
